About Windcliff Estates

A unique mountain-side lifestyle. The drama of Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the country's national treasures, right outside your window is a privilege that few people are able to enjoy. This mountain landscape is a powerful, contemplative, and inspiring force that becomes a cherished part of the day-to-day living experience enjoyed from the comfort of your favorite chair, fireside bench, or even from the pillow on your bed.
A unique mountain development. Out of 240 acres in the community, roughly 103 acres are dedicated to open space, never to be developed. The Windcliff map shows that we are bordered on the east by Roosevelt National Forest and on the south by Rocky Mountain National Park. Every mountain peak you see in a 180 degree arc is in Rocky Mountain National Park. The result is a low density development where the character of the mountainside is protected for the very long term. While we identify with our RMNP wilderness neighbor, the community enjoys all the normal utilities and comforts of civilization including city water, city electricity, sewer, year-round roads, telephone, satellite, and multiple selections of high-speed internet. Windcliff is covenant-protected and enjoys a very active Property Owners' Association which takes care of our infrastructure and maintains stewardship of our natural resources and architectural controls.
A unique blend of culture. While we are on the edge of 250,000 acres of wilderness, we still enjoy the benefits of civilization. We are three miles from Estes Park, thirty six miles to Boulder, and sixty miles to Denver. Shopping, dining, cultural activities are all available within easy drive times. You do not cross any mountain passes to reach Windcliff from Denver. From your Windcliff home you can pull into your parking space at Denver International Airport in less than two hours.
