Colorado Forest Ag Program

Convert 40-acre tracts into tax-saving agricultural land

Colorado landowners with tracts of land of 40 or more acres can apply to have their land included in the state’s Forest Ag Program.  Qualifying landowners will have their land valued at a “production capability” value instead of the market value.  This can often mean a 90% or greater reduction in the valuation of the land.

Participants in the program must manage their land according to an approved Forest Management Plan for the production of tangible wood products such as Christmas trees, sawlogs, firewood, wood pellets, or posts.

The Forest Ag Program and the acreage that Don Darling has available make the ideal combination for the select buyer interested in owning and building on a tract of magnificent Colorado forestland and managing it for production.
